After the Recital

So, the pics aren't that great! But, here is Kayleigh after her very 1st dance recital! We were soooo proud of her. She did a wonderful job! She also looked very pretty with all her make-up on!
Ashlan was the lucky one that got to come with me. We only bought two tickets, thinking we had a babysitter. Our babysitter fell through. Ashlan picked out the flowers to give to Kayleigh because they had green carnations in the bunch!
Here are Kayleigh and Brittany Mogler. The recital was great and all the girls who participated were wonderful! We had a great night! I hope Andrea got some pictures of her in her costumes, so I can post those.
We want to thank the Mogler's for taking Kayleigh for two months. They treated her like a part of the family and she really loved being there!

Smoke from the fires

This is what we woke up to this morning. Yesterday we could barely smell it and the smoke was far away. This morning it doesn't even help that all the windows are closed, we can still smell the smoke very well. I think at last count, there were something like 109 fires in Nor. Cal. There are fires all around us and we sit in kind of a bowl, so the smoke is just sitting here today. I don't think we will be going anywhere today. Just so you know, you are looking at the lake and a suspension bridge! Can't see it today!

Cameron Was Baptized!

Cameron wa so excited to be baptized on his birthday and Father's Day! His jumpsuit was a little short, but it was that or way too big! That didn't stop Cameron from being super happy!
Here's Chris and Cameron right before we got started! Grandma Bogh and Andrea Mogler gave the talks. Cameron listened very carefully. I know because he's been repeating it to me!!
Here is the "Confirmation Crew"! Back: Mike Roush, Robert Stansel, Matt Anderson, Mike Rosenbusch, Bishop Scott Hart, ansd Scott Means
Front: Chene Mogler, Cameron, Chris, Richard Pittman, Al Gard
We are truly blessed to have made so many great friends in Lodi.
This was a wonderful day and Cameron was so proud to be baptized!

My Beautiful Girls

Grandma let Kayleigh and Ashlan put makeup on!
This is one reason Ashlan loves Grandma's visit.
Here's a group shot of the "Beauties"!
Close-up of Kayleigh! Not too bad.
Close-up of Ashlan. Very Pink!

Ashlan's Loose Tooth

This is a little long, but Ashlan was so cute! She came home from the movies with Grandma and had to show us all her loose tooth! She is so excited that the Tooth Fairy will be leaving her money!

We love Grandma!

Grandma is here visiting!!! Chris decided he was going to get the water gun out again. Cameron was totally soaked through and was trying to "hug" Grandma. More like trying to get her as wet as he possibly could!
Here he goes again!
Matti Roush was here visiting for the week, so she joined right in! Cameron, Ashlan, and Matti are very wet! They are using that to try and get M&M's out of Grandma's hands! This whole time Kayleigh was hiding in the house so she wouldn't get wet!

More Cards! Finally!

Okay, I haven't been very good at getting cards done lately. I'm still trying to get the house settled. I did get 3 done yesterday. Yeah!
This card I made using SU's Blooming With Love set. I used the wheel that goes with it, but I'm not sure what it's called. I used SU's Regal Rose, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, and Taken With Teal.
Pink Panel- 5 1/4 X 4
Patterned Paper- 5 X 2
Celery- 51/2 X 1 1/8 -roller used on this strip.
Red- 2 3/4 X 2 1/2
Teal- 2 1/2 X 2 1/4
White- 2 1/4 X 2
Image was stamped using Staz-On Black and colored using SU's markers.
Iwrapped the white ribbon around the whole card and tied a little bow! The sentiment is from a cute little acrylic set I have by Hero Arts.

This card was done using SU's Garden Whimsy set and the Whimsy Roller. I used SU's Pale Plum, Glorious Green, and Purely Pomegranate.
Pomegranate Strip- 5 1/2 X 1 3/4- I used my Cuttlebug here!

Plum- 3 3/4 X 1 3/4

Green- 3 1/2 X 1 1/2

White- 3 1/4 X 1 1/4- Edged with Purely Pomegranate

Tulip image has Crystal Effects on it. Green organdy ribbon goes around the pink and then I tied a knot. I took 2 small pieces of plum ribbon and knotted them around the green ribbon. The sentiment is from the acrylic Hero Arts set.

This was a super easy card! The hardest part was coloring all the flowers! I used SU's Blooming With Love set again. I use SU's Real Red, Pixie Pink, Pink Passion, and Going Gray.

Red Panel- 4 1/2 X 2 1/2- I used my Cuttlebug again!

Pixie Pink- 3 1/4 X 3

White- 3 X 2 3/4

I stamped the image using Staz-On Black and used my SU markers to color. I punched a hole on the side and doubled up my ribbon. I used both black and red. I took one end of the red and tied it in a knot with one end of the black. I did the same using the remaining ends. The sentiment is stamped at the bottom in Pink Passion.

Thanks to Andrea for letting me borrow her sets!

Frolicking Fawn

This morning I kept hearing leaves crunching outside my kitchen window. I went out onto the deck to investigate. We have lots of little critters around now, but I wasn't expecting to see this fawn. It was running up and down the hill on the side of our house. Mama deer was standing off to the side, watching my every move. Matti Roush is staying with us for the week so I got her and Ashlan to come and see. It hung around for about another 10 minutes or so after this video was taken! So very cool!

Attack of the Puppies!

We were at the Mogler's on Saturday to spend some time with Kayleigh. While we were waiting for dinner, Cameron came over and sat down on the ground. Next thing we knew, he was being kissed by 2 of the puppies. Fuzzbutt is the one on top of Cameron. The other one is Lover.
Fuzzbutt is a tenacious little puppy. Cameron just kept telling the puppies to "Knock it off!"
He was laughing so hard!
Here is Fuzzbutt licking Cameron's ear! The other puppy here is Haley.
Haley decided Fuzzbutt was having fun, so she decided to join him! I think Cameron had fun too! He soon made his escape shortly after this. He didn't sit down on the ground for the rest of the day!
