Just for Sara

Here You go Sara! Kayleigh by herself! This was at the Lake Oroville Visitor's Center on Memorial Day. When I get some pictures from her dance recital, I'll post those. Andrea Mogler, the friend Kayleigh is staying with, put Kayleigh in gymnastics with her girls. She figured that she was there anyways, she might as well participate! At her second class, she had to be with a Level 2 class, because she missed her Level 1. She did a couple of hard Level 2 moves on the bars without a spotter. The coaches were so impressed that they have now bumped her up to a Level 2! Andrea calls her "the Stud of Gymnastics"! She said it took her girls a year to learn the moves she did after one class! I'm a little sad I wasn't there to watch her, but I'm very proud of her!

Indiana Jones... I mean Cameron!

Oh no! I think the monster has evolved! We bought the Indiana Jones movies before we go see the new one. This is what Cameron has looked like since he watched the first one! He will not take the "Indiana" hat off! This is his Indiana Jones pose! I waited about 5 minutes for this pose to be just right! He cracks me up!
Our little front yard has all these big rocks. Cameron was getting ready to jump to the little one in front of him! He actually made it! He is playing "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc" At least it's not Star Wars? I don't know if one is any better than the other. Lightsabers or the bull whip?

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day, we took the Mogler's and Nana to the Lake Oroville Visitor's Center. The kids are sitting on a big rock that the Maidu Indians used as a Mortar Rock. There are big holes all over the top of the rock where they would crush acorns into meal.
This is the map of the Visitor's Center. The kids had a great time!

Nana's Visit

Nana came for a visit this weekend. Here are Cameron and Ashlan on the deck with her! It turned out to be a chilly holiday weekend!
Here is Kayleigh with Nana. Kayleigh and the Mogler's came up Sunday night and spent the night with us! Unfortunately, Kayleigh had a hard time going back home with the Mogler's on Monday night.

Water Fight

While we were down in town yesterday, I bought the kids water guns to get them to play outside. Chris got home and decided to ambush the kids with their own water guns!!
Cameron and Ashlan are soaked! These are the second set of clothes they wore! They had a blast! I had threaten Chris' life after he pointed the water gun at me. He decided he liked being alive! And my camera and I stayed dry.

Hummingbird War

We went to WalMart on Tuesday and Cameron had to have this hummingbird feeder. We filled it up and put it out Wednesday night. Thursday morning Cameron sat and started counting how many times a hummingbird came to visit the feeder. We left at 11:30 in the morning and we got back at 3:00. By the end of the day he counted at least 50 visits! and we were gone part of the day! He was so excited!
We call this little guy "Nutcase". Nutty for short. He seems to have taken control of the feeder. He likes to chase away all the other hummingbirds. There is a gruop of about 6 or so that come and try to get to the feeder. One will come in and distact Nutty, while the others swoop down to eat! It is the funniest thing! The kids and I must have sat there fore about an hour watching these hummingbirds!

PDM Company Picnic

We had Chris' company picnic on Saturday at Oak Grove Park in Stockton. This is Cameron and Ashlan showing off the hats that they got to decorate! They had so much fun doing this!
Here is Cameron showing off the monkey he won! There was face painting there and he wanted an X-Wing. I tried my hardest to do it like he was explaining it to me. You see, "there is a rectangle in the middle, a triangle at the top, an x across the middle, a small rectangle at the bottom of the big rectangle, and 4 cylinders on the bottom of the small rectangle", and there is some more details, but it's too involved for this mom! Cameron is a "little" detail-oriented.

Here's Ashlan showing off her face paint. All she wanted was 2 hearts, one on each cheek! If you can't tell, it was HOT! I think it ended up being 104 degrees. We had a blast!

Golf Lessons?

Here's Ashlan posing instead of practicing hitting the ball. Cameron is in the back showing off the golf ball. Chris has a golf tournament today for work and he was practicing his putting last night. Both the kids wanted to try, and this is the end result. I think Ashlan is watching a little too much America's Next Top Model!

Ashlan's birthday was in April. We had some friends over for her party. I told all the kids to stand up against the wall for a group picture and this is what they did. Kids are so funny sometimes. We all laughed for a long time about this.

Here I go!

Okay, here I go into the world of blogging! I have no clue what I'm doing, so bear with me. I'm also not very good with expressing myself in words. This is going outside of my box.
We just moved about 2 hours further from family, so I thought this would be the perfect solution to keeping everyone up-to-date.
I'm going to try to post something at least every other day. I'll be posting family stuff, as well as cards I've made.
So without further ado, I'm ready to get started!
